I had a look and haven't find any code that allows me to pass onto a variable data from a range of lines in a text file. I have a code that does what I want but it takes ages when the data I want to retrieve is close to the end of the file. I need that piece of code because I'm dealing with 20MB files with thousands of lines. I have unsuccesfully tried for a while to come out with a code that enables me to open files in any given line other than have always to start from the first one and go down until finding a tag.
